New Balance and the Buy American Caucus

New Balance, the only maker of running shoes and tennis shoes that actually still makes them in America, says it is abiding by the “made in USA” standard, but the Federal Trade Commission (FTC) that wrote the standard, isn’t so sure.

The FTC studied the “made in USA” issue exhaustively in the mid-1990s, and decided that a product must be “all or virtually all” made in the U.S., with “no – or negligible – foreign content.”

The decision for the “all or virtually all” standard was made after the FTC collected over 1,000 comments legislators, trade associations, attorneys general, labor, and consumer groups including my “How Americans Can Buy American” organization.

This is a Nightline video on a sex offender, a pedophile that is clearly a “messed” up individual who should be locked up for life in a remote desolate place and left to ‘fend’ for himself. Laws need to be changed and these people need to be watched constantly if we are unable to keep them in prison. /MM

I watched this on my Nightline podcast download and it struck me as just another money hungry “preacher”. She is no different then all the others before her. Basically explaining all her wealth as God wants her to do it and look at the charity and aid we do. Less than 15% of her monetary intake is spent on helping others. She can’t fly commercially, because that is stressful, give me a freaking break! Makes me ill.
