One person was injured when two planes collided at the airport in Iowa Falls at about 2 p.m. Friday, the Federal Aviation Administration said. A Cessna 182 and a Mooney 20-C apparently collided as one was taking ff and the other was landing, said Elizabeth Isham Cory, FAA spokeswoman.

Three people were aboard the two planes, though it was not immediately clear which people were aboard which plane, Cory said. Information on the severity of the injuries was not available.

The Iowa State Patrol was in charge of the crash site, a Department of Public Safety spokeswoman said. The FAA will investigate the crash. The probes typically take up to a month, Cory said.
